NOT WHAT IT APPEARS TO BE: https://www.ctvnews.ca/business/starbucks-plans-to-close-up-to-200-canadi

Starbucks was in the process of rationalizing its locations prior to COVID-19. Every major chain does this as part of periodic spatial (locational) analysis reviews. When Starbucks was created a big part of the reason people paid the relative high price for a coffee was the experience of going to one of the locations. Although they are very established I wonder if some of the allure of Starbucks would gradually fade if they go too far and reposition more locations to drive-thru format.
